Schedule for presentation days

Please note: Your presentation must be loaded, tested, and ready to go before 10:15.  For attendance purposes, you are late if you enter the room after 10:15.  If you are late arriving and are scheduled to present, your presentation will have to be rescheduled for the end of the semester.

10:10 a.m.     Class period begins

10:15              First presentation begins

10:30              First presentation ends

10:30-10:35  Complete your presentation rating sheets for presentation #1

10:35             Second presentation begins

10:50             Second presentation ends

10:50-11:00  Finish presentation rating sheets; announcements

This schedule is very similar to the time requirements you will have to meet when you give oral presentations in professional meetings, such as the Kentucky Academy of Science or the Association of Southeastern Biologists. Your actual presentation should be timed for 12 minutes, with 3 additional minutes for questions and discussion. At the 11-minute mark, the coordinator will stand up to signal that you have one minute remaining. At the 12-minute mark, the coordinator will move closer to you.
