Welcome to ECO 345,  Introduction to Game Theory and Experimental Economics!

Hi!  I'm Fred Ruppel, your instructor.  You may have seen my homepage on your way here.  I'll be re-building this site as the semester goes on.  You'll be able to view and download the class syllabus (no excuses for ever losing it now!), plus I'll provide you with links to some interesting sites.  The first of these will be the web-link to your major textbook (McCain).  Check it out and see what he's got on the website.  Prior to writing the textbook, Dr. McCain created an "Introductory Sketch of Game Theory" website that provides much of his textbook in a nutshell.  Reading the sketches in conjunction with the text might help you to understand the text better.  One of the really fundamental sites for further game theory and experimental economics information is from Harvard University professor Al Roth.  His GTEE webpage is among the most comprehensive you'll find anywhere.

Class Details and Lecture Notes for Textbook Chapters

Each of the following links will take you to a file that was built using WordPerfect7.0 software.  When
you click on the link, you will not see the file contents directly.  Instead, your browser will prompt you to save the file to your diskettte/hard drive or (in some cases) to open the file.  Whether you choose to save the file or open it, word processing software (preferably WordPerfect or Microsoft Word) must be loaded onto the receiving machine for you to access the file.  Some formatting may be lost in the transfer.
