CCT101 Introduction
to Business. (3) I, II.
Survey course that focuses on the
nature of the American free enterprise system and its business organizations,
examines the role played by business in American society, as well as its
purposes and responsibilities; and introduces the practical operations that must
exist if businesses are to create goods and services. Major problems faced by
managers in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling these areas are
examined. The course provides a broad overview of the functions, institutions,
principles, and practices of business. Further, a basic foundation and
understanding of career choices in business as well as the role business plays
in non-business careers will be explored. For pre-business and
non-business majors.
CCT106 Electronic Data Input. (1) I, II.
Development of basic tough keyboarding skills for using
computers; introduction to formatting memorandums and letters. Students who have
basic keyboarding skills may be able to test out of this course.
CCT107 Intermediate Keyboarding. (3) I, II.
Continued emphasis on speed and accuracy building; increased
emphasis on business letters, manuscripts, reports, text editing, and
formatting.
